Role of IT Controls in the Internal Control System. Example of Assessment of IT Controls According to International Standards.

Digital and information technologies (IT), subsuming under the interests of business and society, enter into all areas of production. The needs of entities for automation are growing, the cost of owning an information system is increasing. The highly specialized IT field requires systematic approaches to management, including special management facilities that can fit into the trend of high rates of IT development.

 

At the seminar, we will consider how information technology affects the internal control system, how processes and internal control in IT are built, how to assess the feasibility, adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls.

 

4 hours of the event will cover the following issues:

  1. IT processes. Internal control in IT. Standards and best practices: COBIT, ITIL, IT4IT and their effective combination in the organization.
  2. Role of IT in the internal control system. Examples of operational cases related to IT.
  3. Building internal control in IT.
  4. Example of evaluation of IT controls.
