BDO in Ukraine: Participation in ACC Meeting on Media and AI
Last week, Natalia Sosedka, who works at BDO in Ukraine and is a member of BDO's Technology, Media and Telecommunications industry group, attended the meeting of the Media and Communications Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC).
The event brought together more than 25 business representatives to discuss the role and prospects of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the media and communications.
The participants of the event discussed a wide range of issues related to the use of artificial intelligence, including its opportunities and challenges. Different approaches to the regulation of AI at the international level were considered, as well as the expected trends in this field for 2024.
In particular, the joint recommendations of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, and the Commission on Journalistic Ethics regarding the use of AI for the creation of journalistic materials and responsible use in the media were announced and discussed.
“This event was an important step in understanding the role of artificial intelligence in the media and communications. During the discussion, I received a lot of insights and impressions, listening to the opinions of various experts. An important conclusion was that for the successful implementation of AI, constant dialogue and cooperation between businesses is necessary, the government and the public. I am sure that this cooperation will create new opportunities for the development of both sides, contributing to the creation of favorable conditions for business and the economic growth of the country”, — noted Natalia Sosedka.
The ACC meeting was marked by an active exchange of opinions and ideas that will contribute to the further development of the use of AI in media and communications. Stakeholders keep working to ensure the effective implementation of these technologies while maintaining high standards of ethics, security and privacy. Smart integration of AI in media and communications is expected to help create new opportunities, improve service quality and advance the industry as a whole.
