BDO in Ukraine and CBU: Effective Cooperation to Restore Economy and Infrastructure of Ukraine
On February 20, BDO employees in Ukraine Oleksandr Skalskyi, the leader of the “Construction and Real Estate” group, and Tetyana Demchenko, the coordinator of industrial groups, attended the meeting of the board of directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU). At this event, topical issues of economic and business development in Ukraine were discussed.
The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) is the largest industry association, which has more than 800 members, which is about 80% of companies in the construction industry of the country. The goal of the CBU is to promote the development of the construction sector of Ukraine and to maintain an active dialogue regarding the future reconstruction of the country at all levels. The confederation also acts as the sole representative of Ukraine in the European Federation of the Construction Industry (FIEC), which unites 32 national member federations from 27 European countries.
At the event, which brought together representatives from the government, ministries and more than 170 Ukrainian companies that are members of the CBU, plans for regulating the construction industry, developing new standards and initiatives related to the “E-oselia” program were discussed. Special attention was also paid to the issue of assistance to defenders and reconstruction of the country.
An important result of the meeting was the creation of a new committee on regulatory and legislative activities, which is designed to promote the development of effective legislation for business.
In addition, the members of the council made a decision to accept new members, including the auditing company BDO in Ukraine. This step indicates the expansion of cooperation between CBU and BDO with the aim of joint investment attraction and support for the recovery of the Ukrainian economy.
We are sure that this cooperation will be a new impetus for the development of both sides, contributing to the creation of favorable conditions for business and economic growth of the country.
