BDO in Ukraine Teams Up with UFPAA for Global Ethics Day Celebration!

The forum played host to industry leaders, accountants, auditors, representatives from governmental bodies and higher education institutions, and partners from diverse sectors and business. Our Company was represented at the event by Alla Savchenko, president of BDO in Ukraine, who is one of the founders of UFPAA.

The forum's primary mission was to spotlight the application of the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants and its amendments, while also highlighting the newest guidelines from the International Ethics Standards Board.

At the event, Alla Savchenko shared insights on pioneering ethical leadership in an era of turbulence and digital change.

Ethical leadership plays a crucial role in professional activities, as following its principles can improve brand image, prevent scandals, increase employee and customer loyalty, and attract business investments more effectively. 
Using the lens of renowned Ukrainian enterprises, Alla Savchenko unpacked the core tenets of ethical leadership, offering practical recommendations for application. She recommends focusing on the following principles:

• openly demonstrate respect for the dignity, rights and opinions of others
• always keep honesty a priority and provide accurate information
• apply transparent and fair approaches in your work without showing favorites or discrimination
• provide equal opportunities to all
• take responsibility for actions and decisions
• create a fundamental basis for effective cooperation and open dialog.

The forum once again highlighted the importance of respect, honesty, fairness, equality, accountability and trust within companies.
