BDO in Ukraine and platform UNITED24 become partners in initiatives to rebuild Ukraine

Therefore, we are pleased to announce that this month BDO in Ukraine becomes an official partner of fundraising platform UNITED24.

The main goal of the partnership is to help raise funds for rebuilding Ukraine at the international level. Thanks to the wide network of BDO companies in the world (with offices in 164 countries), BDO in Ukraine plans to launch a large-scale information campaign to focus attention on the needs of Ukraine and Ukrainian society.

As part of the partnership, we are joining one of UNITED24 initiatives called “Computers and tablets for pupils”. As our company's offices in Ukraine and the Czech Republic have already provided such support to Ukrainian children so that they could keep on learning, we will continue this initiative and involve even more partners in cooperation. The first 10 tablets from our company are already on their way to their new users. We hope that these devices will be really useful for Ukrainian school students to keep on learning online.

From the plan of reconstruction of Ukraine for 750 billion dollars, which was presented by our government at the conference in Lugano in July 2022, approximately 130 billion dollars should be attracted to create energy independence and security, including the generation of wind and solar electricity and the strategic projects of hydrogen production. Therefore, we are planning to arrange an international investment conference to attract large international investors in such projects and promote platform UNITED24 to attract donors for the reconstruction of Ukraine today,” — says Vitaliy Strukov, managing partner of corporate finance at BDO in Ukraine, and the initiator of the partnership with platform UNITED24.

The funds are transferred to the accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and forwarded to relevant ministries for the most important needs. For seven months of operation UNITED24 has collected over 237 million dollars from citizens of 110 countries.
