MRICS status - achievement of BDO valuation specialist in Ukraine

Dmitry Korol - Head of Business Valuation and Financial Modeling at BDO in Ukraine on July 21, 2020 has successfully passed the exam and received the MRICS (Chartered Valuation Surveyor of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) status.

 

 

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is international independent professional body, established in 1868 in London (UK), promotes and enforces the highest international standards in the field of appraisal, management and development of real estate, construction and infrastructure.

To date, RICS has accredited about 120,000 qualified professionals around the world, including 43 specialists from Ukraine. One of which is our colleague Dmitry Korol.

Dmitry has been working in the valuation department for 12 years. And during this time he was responsible and took part in dozens of large-scale projects. The new status is definitely a big step in professional activity. Dmitry's achievements are at the same time the achievement of BDO in Ukraine, because it confirms the high professionalism of our team and the willingness to provide the best quality services in accordance with international standards.

 

What does Dmitry Korol say about his achievement?

Firstly, for me it is an opportunity to communicate more freely with colleagues from other countries and study international valuation experience.

Secondly, it is a special status in the professional community.

Thirdly, the RICS degree confirms the high competence of a specialist in this area around the world.

 

To pass RICS certification one needs to have:

1. A diploma confirming relevant knowledge (economics and / or valuation).
2. Work experience of at least 10 years as a leading appraiser or manager.

If these are in place, a specialist can be certified by RICS. The qualifying exam consists of a written part and an interview. During the exam, the candidate must confirm the availability of the required competencies. And this, believe me, is not an easy task.
