What have we done to work autonomously in the company?
- New laptop batteries: We’ve replaced old batteries with new ones that allow to last longer without being plugged in.
- Laptops with Type-C charging: We've purchased laptops that support USB Type-C charging, making charging more standard and efficient.
- Powerful power banks: We provided employees with 30,000 mAh power banks with PowerDelivery function. This allows to keep laptops and other devices running even during a power outage.

Tips for maximum endurance during power outage from IT specialists of BDO in Ukraine
Even if you have a long-lasting laptop battery, a power bank for your laptop, and a modem, we recommend following a few tips to maximize your productivity during a power outage:
- Turn on battery saver mode in Windows. This will help reduce the power consumption of your laptop. In the settings menu, go to “System”, then “Power & Sleep”, and select “Battery Saver Mode” (picture 3).
- Reduce the screen brightness. Keep the screen brightness as low as possible while keeping your eyes comfortable. This will significantly reduce energy consumption.
- Use your Uninterruptible Power Unit (UPS) or power bank. Connect your laptop and modem to a UPS or power bank and work from it until you run out of power. This will keep the laptop's main battery charged for a longer time.
- Switch to your laptop's internal battery. Once your UPS or power bank is depleted, switch to your laptop’s internal battery. This will allow you to work longer if the power is still out.
