CEO of BDO in Ukraine Vira Savchenko made a good point:
“Now the Ukrainian business faces the challenge not only to survive, but to think about how to develop and scale activities in the future. And today every Ukrainian is faced with the choice of what contribution to make in order to rebuild our country and bring it to a new level in the global economy.”
In the harsh conditions of war, thousands of businesses, despite the security risks, continue to operate. Their operation is the basis of Ukraine's economic stability and is more important than ever. However, labor during martial law is associated with many new, particularly lethal risks. Ukraine suffers great losses in this war and they are increasing, particularly as a result of the deaths of workers in the workplace. Every day employees in our country die while performing their job duties. Half of these cases are the result of military operations.

The result of eight years of armed conflict and three months of full-scale war is that Ukraine is one of the most mined countries in the world. Russian troops, retreating in the north and east of the country, have mined the territory, residential and industrial buildings of Ukrainians. The massive destruction of infrastructure and industry requires a great deal of effort and resources. Infrastructure renewal and construction after the war must be already the concern now.
To reduce the risks of death and injury of workers as a result of military operations, occupational safety consulting experts are advising our clients' management on the legal requirements for occupational safety under the martial law, and they are training workers in emergency situations to save life and health during the performance of work duties.
