Partnerships Across the Ocean: Challenges and Opportunities for Ukrainian Companies in Canada

Date of the event: March 19, 2025 (Wed)Time: 16:00-18:00

Despite the distance of more than 7000 km, Canada is an attractive and promising market for Ukrainian business.

The country’s high standard of living and active support for innovation and entrepreneurship make it an attractive destination for Ukrainian investors and entrepreneurs. The technology sector, green energy, agriculture, and other key industries are a focus of the Canadian government, and they present ample opportunities for growth and expansion for Ukrainian companies. The Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) has been instrumental in gradually eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers, making the Canadian market more accessible for Ukrainian goods and services. The modernized agreement, which entered into force on July 1, 2024, has contributed to the increased presence of Ukrainian goods in Canadian stores, challenging well-established European brands.

We cordially invite you to attend the event “Partnership across the Ocean: Prospects and Opportunities for Ukrainian Companies in Canada,” organized by BDO in Ukraine in collaboration with the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. This event will provide a platform for discussing the potential of Canada for the development of Ukrainian business and the specifics of establishing strategic partnerships between the two countries.
